What should I do if I feel pain/frustration/dizziness during a breathwork practice?

Breathwork is a practice that – among many other benefits – teaches you to become more mindful of all feelings and sensations in your body.

Your body is very intelligent and will therefore always tell you what is right for you – key is to listen to its voice.

In case you experience any (sharp) pain, dizziness or any other discomfort that feels harmful or overwhelming to you, know that you can always decide to come back to your natural way of breathing. With breathwork practices it’s important to never challenge or push yourself, always keep feeling and listening to your inner wisdom.

Whenever you encounter feelings of frustration, anger, sadness, grief, in fact any kind of emotion that may arise, know that this is perfectly natural, even though it might feel overwhelming when this happens.

By allowing your emotions to come to the surface and addressing them by feeling them and consciously breathing through them – instead of suppressing them – they can truly be felt and released.

Breathwork can therefore be a powerful practice for releasing emotions and letting go of that which no longer serves you.

What if I repeat sessions?

Breath Hub offers an abundance of content and breathwork sessions to explore. In case you enjoyed the particular sessions, it is perfectly fine to continue practicing (one of) them! Repetition and creating routine is key to success. Once you find a session that you like, we recommend trying to stick with it for a while so you’ll be able to reap the full benefits. Simply pick the sessions you like best, then your practice will work best for you as well.

That being said, trying new sessions and teachers always leads to new experiences. Breath Hub continuously adds new, interesting content for you to try.

So if you’re open to new experiences, we’d like to suggest that you keep exploring all great newly added content in the app.
